What got you into riding Fixed?

フィックスギアにはまったのは何がきっかけ？

: I started riding fixed gear because it was good cross training for Motocross. The Fixed scene in San Jose is so huge it just kept me wanting to ride more and more. I just couldn’t get enough of it.

モトクロスの練習にいいんじゃないかと思って始めたんだ。サンホゼのフィックスシーンはめちゃくちゃ大きくなっていて、もっともっと走りたいんだ。でも全然まだまだだね。もっとぶちまけたい。

Explain to everyone “Ginger Power” :

ショウガパワーについて説明してよ

Ginger Power? haha never heard of it. I wish I had some sort of secret super powers.

ショウガパワー？んなの聞いた事ないよ。そんなパワー身につけてみたいもんだね。

What do you do when you aren’t riding? :

乗ってない時はいつも何してるの？

When im not riding my bicycle im on my Dirt bike. I guess I’ve always had a thing for 2 wheels.

ダートバイクに乗ってる。いっつも２つのホイールにまたがってるよ。

When was the last time you thought “This is crazy”? :

最近、『これまじ半端ねえ！』って思ったのっていつ？

Last time i thought that was yesterday when Matt Montoya got hit by a car then jumped right up, punched the guy’s car, smashed his peg through his side door, and rode off. Shit was wild.

昨日だね。マット・モントーヤが車にはねられてさ、すぐ起き上がって車にパンチしてたり、ペグを使ってドアをぶちぬいて、そのまま逃げたんだ。あれはやばかったね。

What’s the Fixed scene like in SJ? :

サンホゼのフィックスシーンってどんな感じ？

The Fixed Freestyle scene in San Jose is nuts, to say the least. There’s at bare minimum 20+ guys out everyday, and there’s always more kids on bikes crawling out of the woodwork. I’m really glad to be a part of the construction of the scene here in my hometown, and stoked that there is such a strong sense of family between everyone.

サンホゼのフィックススタイルシーンは最高だね。２０人くらいのライダーがいつもいてさ、それ以上のキッズが木のランプんところで自転車のりながら遊んでて。自分のホームタウンでこんなシーンの中枢にいられて嬉しいよ。でもってみんなすごい良いセンスしてるし、最強のファミリーだよ。
